In the capital a man almost killed a 70-year-old woman, who campaigned for the European Party of Ukraine and Mykola Katerynchuk
On Friday at the 17th single-mandate constituency in Kyiv, a man in his apartment committed an assault and harmed a 70-year-old resident of the capital Galina Moroz, who came to campaign for the European Party of Ukraine and Mykola Katerynchuk.
"I was going from apartment to apartment in my district to campaign for Mykola Katerynchuk, as a candidate for mayor of Kyiv. I know him a very long time and I believe that he and his party have to manage the European capital", - says a pensioner. - "I went to one of the apartments, where a strong man opened the door to me. After he found out I was campaigning, he closed the door and began to beat me. He beat my face and my head. When I fell on the floor, he began to beat the ribs and the chest. I started to scream and apparently it saved me, because somebody finally called the police".
"The man was beating me and shouting all the time, saying that I had to fight in the east, not to agitate if I'm really a patriot of Ukraine", - says Galina Moroz.
The activist with the numerous beatings was taken to the hospital emergency room, where she was applied gypsum. She has a broken left hand, bruises on her face, chest and other body parts.
Lawyers of the European Party of Ukraine are preparing an appeal to the police to investigate the incident and punish the guilty.
Now the life of Galina Moroz is in safe.
